Hi everyone,

I just got a quote from the dealer just in parts to replace fluids and spark plugs along with 2 front wheel bearings(passenger side is starting to hum a bit).

What have you guys done to your 13-18 ram hemi 4x4 for 75k mile maintenance?
Also what brand spark plugs do you recommend?
I also wonder what brand front wheel bearings the oem uses as replacements?

Thanks in advance

I hesitate to ask but I can’t help myself... mind sharing the amount of the quote? Thanks!

Well you don't need spark plugs until 100k miles. I do know that alone will cost you upwards of $400-$600 to get that done. What fluids were quoted on being replaced? I just did the rear differential at 86K miles (I don't do any towing) and the fluid looked great. I am probably going to hold off on the front differential and transfer case until about 100k miles. The service manual recommends the transfer case at 125k miles. I will do coolant and brake fluid at 100k.

If I were you I would probably do the wheel bearings (if they are actually bad) and I think the rest is just them trying to pad the bill IMO

I literally just did the rear diff fluid today and it didn’t look bad at all. I have 82k on the truck right now. So far this week I changed the front diff, transfer case, rear diff, oil change with oem filter. Did them all in my driveway and bought all redline fluids. The truck sounds quieter from the motor and it seems great everywhere else. All the fluids I changed did not look bad at all.

I purchased the spark plugs and wheel bearings off rock auto (timken both front bearings and 16 ngk spark plugs)for $275 shipped.

I’ll be installing the wheel bearings in the near future as a friend will let me use his lift to do the job.

I am very pleased so far and can’t wait to get all this done. Once all of this is done i will be upgraded the headlight bulbs and fogs per boostedmotorsports on YouTube’s videos.

Thanks again everyone and if any of you have more suggestions please comment.

If you have the rfe that items will need to be done for sure. Consider a metal thread upgrade with synthetic filter, knock the paint off.. Nobody uses gaskets, just get the orange high temp silicone, you will need a day for it to cure before you put oil in, I assume reldine c+? Do you have rfe or 8 speed?

You might want to sea foam through vac lines before you put new plugs in.

Brake fluid will need to be bled.

Read the fault lugnut thread in my sig, you might want gorillas.

Get spark plug tool, you will need it, the one that arm bends.
