8.4 radio swap from 5” in my 2016 Cab N Chassis NO SOUND.

2016 Cab & Chassis.
going from 5” radio to the 8.4 and the climate controls sorta work. (Speeds 1-4) and heat and ac work.
My issue is I HAVE 0 Sound and I have the 7 speed fan, the media control by glove box. Obviously I can’t plug in the climate controls that came with the radio so I have to use my old ones and it hangs there.
I’d like to find a plug and play harness that will allow the new controls/volume/tuning knobs as well as directly plug into the 3wire fan. (Mine is currently 2 wire)

Those old controls will fit the bezel will just stick out a little.

For sound disconnect the radio fuse and reconnect. These radios sense loads and if it sees nothing connected, shuts off output. More complicated if there's amps involved.

My issue is I have no way to adjust sound volume. Because I can’t connect the donor volume/hvac/tuner controls. This truck doesn’t have steering wheel controls as it’s a cab n chassis.

Ah, I would definitely add steering wheel controls as the cheapest solution. Is there any reason you don't want to make the full upgrade?
