8.4 Screen gets pretty Hot

I just bought a 2019 classic with the 8.4 in screen…works beautifully.

However, I noticed that the screen seems pretty hot to the touch. Is this normal or am I looking at a potential failure??? Ugh

Its normal AND it will cause failure eventually. Are you still in warranty?

Yes…it’s got an extended warranty for another four years. Good thing, I guess

All of them are hotter than electronics should be. Some are hot to the touch while others get too hot to touch. I changed the thermal material and added fans to mine.

I decided to turn the screen off when not needing it for anything…shouldn’t have to do that. Ugh.
