I just upgraded my 2020 Ram Classic to the 8.4 radio. I got all the parts and got a great wiring harness from Mike (M2Mods). But when I turn the truck on, I can hear the radio boot up but screen is still blank? The bezel lights work as well and when I turn the fan knob on, the fans do kick on. I checked that radio fuse by the brake booster and it wasn’t blown. So I’m not sure where else to check? Maybe let it sit overnight? Idk. Help

Is the radio new? or is it known to be in working condition? Can you plug your old radio in to verify power?

I’m in talks with him now thru email. He said try to unplug the HVAC module and see if the radio boots up then. If so, then something is catching when you plug in the HVAC module. Going to try it now.

Actually...
Unplug the conversion harness and bezel from the truck at the white 24 pin connector below the radio and see if the radio boots up on its own... It should.

If it doesn't, the radio is bad. (You should be able to get the radio to turn on with your original bezel/HVAC controls setup.

Make sure you didn't bend any of the radio pins over when seating the radio connector to the radio. It's a pain in the butt if you did ...
(and nearly impossible to straighten out without breaking them off... I learned the hard way being in a hurry once)

Mike called and we talked through everything, I think the radio is just dead. Ordered a new one. I’ll update this thread once I get the new one!
