It doesn't look to impressive. I have been waiting for months to get one. It does get 21 Hwy mpg though

I havent been in the new rams with the A8, but my wifes X5 has the same tranny (almost certain) and i just love how that thing shifts

Do u guys think the new tranny will have any recalls, being a new upgrade to rams. Or since it has been used in other vehicles them mite have all the bugs worked out

The ZF sourced 8 speed is used by Audi, BMW, Rolls Royce and several others high end vehicles. Surely it's good enough for a lowly Ram! If I was ready to trade, it wouldn't even be a disscussion. 8 speed all the way! It makes alot more sense than going V6 twin turbo (Ecoboost). The same rated miles per gallon and more reliable than competition.

The 4.7 only comes in the Tradesman I believe right?

No idea on the axle ratio. You could ask the guy.
