I have a 2026 1500 Laramie and have been having issues with getting the system to get text messages correct. Whether I'm sending a new text or responding to one while I'm driving its translating everything into something totally different than what I've said. I'm not talking about language... actual English words.

I have talked to Ram Connect, to Ram and a local service dealer and nobody has an answer. According to Ram, my software is up to date.

Curious if anyone else has had this issue on their 2026 truck.

I have my Iphone connected so it will use Siri and at times has it own mind, also don't talk to fast as the microphones in theses trucks are not the best...

I had to set mine to southern accent mode.
Kidding…I use Siri and it works perfectly 95% of the time

I doesn’t work for me…… Siri does.
Accent?
ONLY thing works is “ HEY RAM……..set…….cabin………..temp….re…..ture…….to…….69…..degrees!

Time I’ve done all that, easier to do it myself.

HOW…do you speak “69” ??

Sixty-nine ?? or Six Nine ??

(the first example sometimes displays as 609…. while the second example sometimes fails to fall within capable temperature ranges)

That can be pretty frustrating. In lieu of contacting Ram Connect, were you advise to perform any resets of your Uconnect system or phone?

I worked with Ram on a reset of the head unit. Didn't fix the issue.

For all to know, I dont use Apple products, so using Siri is not an option.

Also, I do speak clearly and distinctly when trying to get it to send a message. Most of the time the 'Hey Ram' commands work okay. Not all of the time though.

Either a car's microphone issue or your phone issue. I have a pretty heavy accent and I have no problem sending a text or asking apple map for directions. Since you most likely have an android I think that might be the problem.

I can only assume your current phone has some sort of voice to text option so why no use it and if its an Android based phone it should work with your truck unless your truck is not compatible with Android or Apple phones and with the newest updates for your phone...

I wanted to see if switching to Android Auto and sending a message that way would work any better. It worked flawlessly! The downside is that I would have to switch back and forth which I really don't want nor should I have to do. This really sucks!
