96 5.2 2wd Where is my starter?

Ok, so I know some times I can be a bit slow, but I have looked every where under the hood and I have miss placed my starter..... Have you seen it?


Ok, no all joking aside, for some reason I can't seem to locate the location of the starter of my 96 doge ram. Maybe I am just such a newb when it comes to a truck cause I am used to working on cars, and I am not a true mechanic.

I figured a starter would be something I could replace, but I just cant seem to find the location of the starter on this truck.

Any help or pictures to point out location would be of great help.

and yes I have searched all over the net and cant seem to find a true answer to the mysterious question.

Its located on the driverside on the bottom where the engine meets the transmission. Close to the frame rail.
