A/C is no longer blowing cool air

Will those $30-40 cans/kits of A/C “recharge” at Oreillys or Autozone help me out? Will they seal any leak and add refrigerant? Do they work worth a darn?

If not-what do you suggest? Thanks

Most shops will test for free. I thought my old Pontiac only had a leaky Schrader valve but turned out to be a lot larger than that... Best to get it checked.

They will make your AC run cool again, but I have never had luck with them fixing a leak.

The right way is to fix the leak, evacuate the system and recharge with right amount of oil and freon.

If you have a tiny tiny leak, those parts store ac pro cans work for a couple months give or take but tiny leaks turn into large leaks eventually and will need the right repairs. If you can afford it now, then fix it right.

I used AC Pro on my 3rd Gen Ram a couple of years ago, but it did not help. I suspect there might have been something else wrong other than a leak. Lack of cold AC was one of the major reasons I bought a new truck. Gotta stay kool in FLA!
