I just bought a 2014 2500 with a 6.4 Hemi.
Checking it all over and tried to turn ac on but the compressor doesn’t kick in. It’s only 15 degrees out so is this why?
Also the washer fluid tank is dripping. Is this a common problem and if so what is wrong?
Other than that it looks like a great truck. It’s our first dodge we’ve ever owned.
Thanks for any advice.

At 15°F outside temp, the refrigerant pressure is about 15 psi. The low pressure cut-out control is about 25 psi, so yes that why the compressor doesn't try to kick in. Part of the low pressure control is to keep the evaporator from freezing up, the closer the ambient temperature is to freezing, the less the compressor runs.

Leaks are a pretty common problem.

There's usually a rubber grommet that's located between the pump and the plastic tank and if it is worn out or the pump itself has a crack in it, the fluid can leak out from there as well.

Sometimes a leak can occur in one of the rubber hoses leading to the nozzles by the windshield.

No, it is normal for the washer fluid tank to be dripping. Check the hose connections.

Have you tried it in the "defrost mode"/ front window defroster? It should run(not for long) to circulate the oil in the compressor to keep your seals swelled and sealed all year long.
