A little help with leveling

Recently ive been looking up leveling kits for my 2wd ram. im on a budget and i was wonder if the rough country leveling kit was any good. Ive heard the 4wd and the 2wd rams are the same and i just wanted to double check before i bought any type of kit. here is a link to the page Dodge Ram Leveling Suspension

hey daniel i leveled my 4x4 with a trail master 2inch front 1.5 inch rear for 169 Cdn.....but i found it didnt really level it...it still has a slight negative slope in the front...maybe 4inch front 1.5inch rear maybe have leveled it or 2inch front and nothing in rear...my kit consisted of a front alumimun spacer and a rear poly spacer....good luck !!!

I believe the 2 and 4wd kits are different. myoung84 has a leveling kit on his 2wd, not sure which one he used though.

Installed - 2" TGC Leveling Lift Kit on a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD

Here we have a 2010 Ram 1500 2WD that came in to rid of that pesky factory rake. To remove that factory rake, we installed our very own 2" Top Gun Customz Leveling Lift Kit. Our spacers are made from super heavy duty 1/4" thick laser cut steel. These spacers take around 20 minutes to install and most of our customers do this install themselves with simple hand tools.

Im not 100% sure on the newer Rams either so im gonna sit back and learn something.

20 minutes to install.... HA! Don't believe that.

I don't see why there would be any difference between 2wd install and 4wd. Both are just spacers that go on top of the coils. What I'm just not sure about is if there is a difference in rake between the two. Mine is a 4wd and a 2" coil spacer just about did the trick. It sits pretty close to level now.

on the older trucks the front didn't have a coil over shock (2wd), so the spacers were more of a donut. Not sure on these! I gotta think that if a vendor like TGC posted that they put that kit on a 2wd.............they would know what they are talking about!

20 minutes to install spacers on a 2wd is very optimistic. Since I have no tools or garage overseas, I just had the shop install 2.5 inch spacers( I recommend the 2" or 1.5). On the downside of a speed bump, the front end is fairly harsh. The shop removed a 1/2" plastic pad that may have helped(a little), but now it feels like it really needs shocks on the front. I truly wish Bilstein would offer a 5100 adjustable shock for the 2wd's. After my experience, I believe I will be removing the spacer and installing bilsteins 4600 oem replacement shocks and just dealing with the rake until I get the truck back to the U.S.
FWIW--it looks Badass levelled. But in the land of Frequent and Massive speed bumps, my daily commute is just painful and annoying. Rides like a champ on everything except these frickin' 2 mph humps...actually jarring at any speed over a creep.
I may consider a different method on the lift...or just buy a 4x4 and be done with it.

This is one of the few places I can find info for my truck without using a vpn...

It just so happens that I've finally raised my truck up from the 2/4 Belltech lowering kit. With that said, I can't find a lot of information on 2wd 4th Gens that have been levelled with shocks. Actually didn't check the date. It's only become pertinent recently...hence the 'revival' of this thread.

Got anything to add?

I went with 1.5" spacers which actually gave me 2" of lift. The ride is a little stiffer but not bad at all. Still rides better than the 2012 F150 I got rid of and it was all stock.

Lie2me, I'd really recommend just getting the 1.5" kit put on. You would notice a huge difference in ride quality. The kit is only $36 plus install so surely cheaper than buying another truck.

I did 1.5s on my Gen3. ...Do yourself a favor and do the progressive springs instead. ..You'll thank me later for the better ride quality and increased articulation...

Just thought I'd ask this here rather than starting a new thread. I just had a Rough Country 2.5" levelling kit installed on my '13 4wd the other day, then had it in at the dealer for an oil change yesterday and they told me both front struts are leaking and need to be replaced. Has anyone else had this issue with this kit?
