Today was such a nice day I had to go do something outside. I found a can of bed liner I was going to but in my old 03 ram before I sold it. My 09 Ram had one of those plastic drop in liners witch I hated cuz to me they are ugly. I ripped out the plastic liner and painted the new liner in. I'll post pic's tomorrow when the day light is back out.

I used the Dupli-color Bed Armor.

1. Clean your bed very well.
2. Once Dried, Tape everything off you don't want coated. Take your time do not rush.
3. Scuff up the to be coated surface. Make sure you have no areas that are not unscuffed. I used a drill with a wire wheel.
4. clean the dust off the surface. Take your time. I used dish soap since it has stuff to break down grease.
5. apply first coat with the roller and brush. take you time and make sure you hit all the big chunks by dabbing the brush.
6. Let the first coat dry for about 1 to 2 hours. depending on how hot it is.
7. Apply second coat with the roller and brush. take you time and make sure you hit a the big chunks by dabbing the brush. At this point make sure you hit all the nooks and cranny's of your bed.
8. let dry and enjoy you new bed.

Tips:
If the coat is too soupy/runny, let it dry a little and hit it up with a brush or roller.
If it's too thick, spray it lightly with water and hit it up with a brush or roller.
Pay attention to detail and take your time.
Don't apply in direct sun light cuz it will cause it to dry quicker. wait until you apply your first or second coat.

this stuff is water based so it makes clean up easy and less messy and it's more forgiving if you get it on something you don't want it on.

I like herculiner, In my opinion it has the best texture. But you can't beat a line-x liner

If I had the money for Line-x I would but the price was too steep for me. When it comes to the DIY liners it's more about personal pref. majority of them are all about the same quality.

Wow that is awesome I think it will have to be in my near plans once the weather is better. Really like the idea of $100 compared to the $400-600 from a place to do it.

I'm taking my Ram in either late this week or early next week for a spray in liner. Probably gonna go with Line-X. I really don't want to spend the money either but I just bought my truck brand new and plan on driving it until the wheels fall off (thinking 10+ years) so I figure for my situtation it will be worth it. The vehicle I traded in had a little over 200,000 miles on it, so I drive mine into the ground.
