Tried to clear abs fault, it cleared then in a instant came right back on. I do need to replace both batteries but as it is I can't use my cruise control. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you

It’s probably a wheel speed sensor. Check the wires and connectors at each wheel and make sure nothing is broken or disconnected. Also check the brake fluid level. It might be low. Before you just fill it, if your brake pads are really warm that will cause the brake fluid level to be low.

Also, you must go for a small drive before the ABS light will go out, depending on the issue that caused it to come on.

Yes I will. I would rather do it myself I have obdlink mx+ and alfaobd it resets and in a few seconds the abs and traction control lights back on. Does anyone know of a good obd2 for 6.7 ram diesel that would reset and stay reset. Thank you

Joe, if the light resets and comes back on immediately that means the issue is still happening. There’s no scanner that could turn that off permanently.

What faults are being reported by ABS module? Pull the DTCs using AlfaOBD. That will give you pretty good idea on what is causing the ABS light.
