ABS light supposed to flash when it’s in operation?

When you’re in something slick like mud and brake to the point to where abs is supposed to kick on, is the abs light supposed to flash or anything just while it’s working?

I don't remember the light ever coming on in operation. I think the light is only a "something's wrong" indicator. But you should be able to feel it in the pedal. It will vibrate.

Thanks. Pedal definitely responds when it’s active. I just thought I remembered it tripping on when it’s actually operating.
