ac blowing hot air

Hi All,
New here and have an issue with my AC blowing hot air.
2015 Laramie 4x4 5.7 hemi
Yesterday morning outside temp was about 65F and my ac was so cold I needed to turn it off. Got off of work and it was about 85 so I turned on the AC for the ride home and it was hot...not warm but hot.
I'm a handy guy but don't know much of anything about HVAC,
Had the AC clutch and compressor replaced about 2 years ago and refilled with the newer 1234yf coolant. that cost me about $1300
Just not sure were to start with this and don't really want to take it in unless I absolutely have to.
any guidance on what to look at first for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you much I'm afraid... other than to say that it sounds eerily like what I just had fixed on mine. My compressor had puked oil and had to be replaced. It would be cold one trip and scorching hot the next.

puking oil would be visible under the hood or on the ground right?
