AC Drain Line Extension

Posting up a quick and easy solution to a possible design flaw on the 4th gen Ram.

AC Drain line poses through the firewall directly above the frame rail. I've noticed that this spot is rusting more than the surrounding areas on top. Quick and easy solution is to buy an extension hose.

Dayco 80401 and some hose clamps. 10 minute swap out. Now it should drain below the frame!

Hopefully prevent future problems in the long run.

How far did you run the hose down? I'm thinking of running it past the frame, but securing it to the frame.

I just left mine hanging. I didn't realize that didn't come with a hose from the factory and assumed the previous owner removed it and lost it. The quality of work he did is mixed and I've had to fix a lot of questionable things.
