Hi all, new guy here, first Ram pickup. 2016 1500 Crew cab Laramie, bought it this past summer with 137k miles on it, now closing in on 146k. Great truck overall so far.
Right after I purchased it, like 3 days, the ac compressor clutch gave out. Took it back and the dealer (independent, not a ram dealer) had the compressor replaced and the AC works great and has all along. I've noticed that I can hear the an engine rpm-variable moaning noise when the AC is running and only when the ac is running. It sounds almost like its coming from inside the dash, but I can't imagine what might be in there that would be related to the ac. It is NOT the HVAC fan, nor is it the seat fans. Noise is undetectable if you get out of the truck, which is the really weird part and makes me think its not the compressor...crawled under there the other day while the ac was on and the compressor is not making any real noise at all while running or idle.
Anyone else have this issue? How did you solve it?
Thanks!
