Does anyone know of a thread where someone has added a 12V (or any type) of receptacle to their truck bed? I have a 2019 Rebel (regular bed, no RamBox) and an 37Quart ARB Fridge/Freezer I need to power. I already have the ARB receptacle add-on and need wire routing advice please. I'll be attaching it to the battery, then proper fuse and 10 gauge wire. I've modded Wranglers which are super easy, but never a truck.

Is there anything I should watch out for when routing wiring between the cab and bed?

Do the interior trim pieces come off, and more importantly go back on easily?

Route wire mostly inside, or outside cab?

Are there any heat producing areas other than the obvious that I should avoid?

Best spot to install the plug end in the bed?

I live "on the roam" so don't have a garage and very limited tools. My mechanic-ing skills are minimal, but I do follow instructions well, and am very detail oriented.

Any advice is appreciated. :)

There are wire harnesses that already go from the cab to the bed (and engine compartment too), I would just follow those....they mostly run inside the frame rail.

You could zip tie your own wire to them, or there might be some of those clips that can "stack" more than one harness, with an opening already (I dont remember off hand).

If they route it that way from the factory I would think you dont have much to worry about in the way of heat, abrasion, etc. I would put your power wire in black plastic split loom just for extra protection (so the insulation wont get nicked)

Thank you @chrisbh17 . Follow something existing, that makes sense. Any advice on the location of the plug in the bed? Is it easy to remove and replace the tail light and possibly route between the inner/outer bed skins? I kinda want to have a plan before I tear into anything since most businesses are closed now.

Taillight is very easy to remove. When you remove it, you'll notice that you can see through the "wheel well above the wheel well", which might be a good place to run your wire the "final mile", but Im not sure a good final resting place for your plug because I only have a lowly 4th gen :)
