Has anyone added a CD player to their 2020 yet? I just traded to a 2020 Limited and was highly disappointed that they no longer offer the CD player but the cubbie where it was located in the 2019s is still there. I need to know of if it's possible and what the part number is for the item if anyone knows. Thanks.

This is the part number for the 19' CD player. 68365900AB

You'll need to figure out if your truck still has the wiring for it though. I also have no idea if it needs to be enabled in the BCM even if the wiring is there?

I asked this on a post a couple pages back.
I found the CD player for $100.

Did get a post on another thread from somebody who pulled their console, but they didn't notice if the wires were there already or if any extra brackets were needed.

I would almost bet the house that you will need to have the cd player flashed in at the dealer with the '19 sales code.

I had a '17 that did not have the cd player and I added one to it. Somewhat PITA as I had to locate another console base and wire harness from a CD player console and swap it with my non-CD player console base. After it was all hooked up I had to take it to the dealer where they put in the sales code.
Charged me minimum labor charge of $100 and took them about 20 mins to do but it was worth it to me.

Hmm. If the dealer won't do the install for me I may finally have to convert my massive library to digital which pains me to do so as it just doesn't sound as crisp.

If you end up going digital, convert your CD's to FLAC format. Supposedly, the radios will play flac which is CD quality. My info is unverified. I will be trying it myself soon.

Just rip the CDs to a thumb drive and be done with it. It should sound exactly the same. If not you need to change your settings.

You obviously are not a audiophile if you think they sound the same. And the sheer volume of CDs I own is astronomical

That part number comes up as the bench seat cd player. Don't know what the difference is, maybe the brackets, but console cd player has a different part number

Been looking more closely at the console. It looks like there is no need for a new trim bezel for the CD. The storage bin should come out and then substitute the cd player. The hole is the same shape. Console looks like it comes out pretty easy once you pull the corner trims on the dash. Found this YouTube video of the console removed. Part number difference in CD players is the brackets.

The whole key will be if the wire harness that's there has the plug for the CD player.

Part number for console cd 68335565AB

I just found this CD walkman in my basement. It’s works great in the truck using a 1/8” jack into the Aux. while the sound quality is there, the only downside is not having control of it while driving (or track info on the screen). If I want that, I’ll have to step up to the OEM or Amazon version for a few hundred bucks.

If you use Apple for your digital goods, consider ALAC then you can use iTunes, among other options. I used WMA, but it was because I was in a Windows environment at the time. Now I just use Pandora and based in my preferences I have built up I get a good playlist no matter what mood I am in.
