Adding a front facing USB Port (or USB-C) to console

Hey everyone,
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with adding a front facing USB port? On my truck I don't have the trailer brake control switch, so I was thinking that would be a perfect place to mount one. I'm planning to add an aftermarket radio in the next month and while not necessary (I could always use the one in the center console), but it would be nice to not have to deal with that too often.

Tap into the cigarette lighter right below it and it will only be hot when you turn the "key"

Yeah I thought about that since my existing cigarette lighter doesn't work anyways. I'm planning to purchase https://www.amazon.com/URWOOW-Flush-Female-Extension-Dashboard/dp/B07J4GVS65/ and put it in the existing cigarette lighter spot.

I used something similar to that adapter in my truck and just mounted it in the hole for the factory usb plug that my truck had on the passenger side of the center stack.

I used the the factory USB port that was in the truck when I did the center console upgrade the hole size is 1 1/8" and it fit perfectly I will get a pic when I can

It came out pretty good I think not hard at all now wat to do with the extra cig lighter port that I have tape behind the dash
