I would go to walmart and purchase two hisense sero pro (not the basic sero) 7" tablets and attach them to back of seat. Then wire them in with USB power. Two bluetooth headsets OR wired headsets and person in back seat can listen to 64 GB (with sd card) of music or watch movies or play games or connect to wifi and browse internet if wifi is available. These tablets cost $150 each plus cost of sd cards plus headsets. Much more functionality than going the commercial dvd route. Someone does have to convert the movies but that is real easy. An alternative and perhaps better tablet would be google nexus 7 (I have this one and it streams from bluetooth fine.

And of course same thing with the passenger front seat and driver can use one for bluetooth music streaming to factory radio plus as gps backup. Rear seat and front passenger can also use to look up POI on gps software.

Yep! I'd use a Tablet. I personally am an Apple man, but their are cheaper alternatives out there.

IMO, you get WAY more for your money. You can surf the web, play games, watch movies, listen to music... Oh, and you can take them with you or store them away so they're hidden and not screaming "STEAL ME".

I remember my sister had the rear head rest system put in her X3 and I told her she should just use iPads (which she had) and she spent over 2000 dollars for these screens that look like CRAP. She doesn't use them now, and her kids both have iPads.

In fact I would go so far as to say it is an atrocious shame that the vehicle manufacturers do not have an adjustable slot in front and in back seats with usb power specifically so someone can slip a tablet in or out.
It just doesn't make sense anymore to go with the dvd only screens.

Right? I just don't see the reason to spend the money on them. We have one in our Enclave, but we bought it used. I'd never spend the money for one. We have 4 iPads and 3 iPhones in our family and our kids are 2.5 years and 6 months old right now. I just hand down my iPhone every year to my wife, and she hands hers down and then we sell the other one on Amazon.

On the 2013 with console if you remove the rubber piece on the open part in front of the console door a nexus 7 fits right in and leans up against the dash. One could add velcro.
