I have a '12 Sport with the Hemi and when I ordered my AEM Brute force intake, it was supposed to come with a gray filter. However, they discontinued them and I now have a red filter. Supposedly it's better but I still kinda want the gray filter.

It's the dry core filter...anyone that has the gray one wanna swap?

My system part # from AEM is 21-8222DC...I believe.

How do you like your AEM, over the one you sold to me? Any noticeable differences in the butt dyno?

Truth be told, about the same...I went with the AEM because I got a deal on it and wasn't too sure of the "Box" design...
This is the 4th CAI I've had on 2 trucks and more and more I'm starting to believe that there isn't too much difference between any of them...
How is the intake treating ya?
Also thanks for sending that piece back...much appreciated!

The difference of less than 3 tenths of a second in the 1/4 miles is almost entirely NON distinguishable to an average person, in everyday driving.

I think that's more the point here.

Well in the nature of the originally asked questioned...my "Butt Dyno" doesn't notice a huge difference, but this is a topic where I think if you ask 10 people about it...you'll get 10 different answers.. I was happy with all of the CAI's that I had but can't say that there was a huge distinguising difference between any of them...

I have about $100 ******* in a intake, cause I wasnt paying a arm and leg for one, bought a mopar knock off, or aem knock off(they are the same looks wise), then a Aem dry flow, and good as gold...I have had top name brands in the past, no difference to me....

Unless that's an average of 10 track runs each, it doesn't mean that much. Every time down the track will produce different times by the average person. I'm not saying K&N is better. I'm just saying that's not a very scientific test. Dyno runs on the same truck, same day would be a better comparison.
