Everything was put back together right? Timing is right? Rods are all seated? Should have ran it last night and used the little time af had today to trouble shoot things.

No mine wasn't near this bad. Mine never actually stalled...just surged like it wanted to stall. The perfect idle for the first 4 min confirms everything was put together right. I'm confident this is just a matter of the pcm not getting along with the cam.

Isn't it key cycles that helps?

Turn it on and off a few times maybe?

If it was running alright for longer than 4min I would agree with you but the fact that only ran fine for 4min makes me think something other than the pcm isn't quite right

That would do it right there. The frong O2's are what helps the pcm with the fuel trims the rear ones are for the cats. Get them in and reset the pcm and it should be much better.

BTW - I meant that it sounded more like something else was the cause other than the pcm, you guys messed with a lot of stuff so even if he put it all back together right there could be a wire that burnt on the headers or something not plugged in right. Like the front O2s.

It's the front o2's not being plugged in that's the problem. The PCM doesn't know what to do in terms of adding/pulling fuel without those sensors.

Better the wrench than the whole truck lol. I agree 100% that will most likely fix the problem. It ran great until the pcn started really taking samples of the air from the o2 sensors. Plug in the fronts and it'll run I guarantee it. Let us know tomorrow.

By the way, as I said before it was great meeting you as well. Had a great time. Be sure to tell Jim thanks again from me also.

Just watch those front O2's, on mine when I installed the the passengerside **** was pointed straight up so the O2 was hitting the heat sheild and would not go in. Had to take a hammer and pound the heat sheild in about the size of a baseball before it would fit right.
