Have a 2019 Ram Longhorn with factory alarm system. Factory alarm only has door\tailgate\hood sensor alarm with remote interrupt.
I'd like to add shock sensor\glass breakage\tilt sensor and possibly an additional kill switch to give me a bit more protection.
I'm concerned about an aftermarket alarm causing problems with the factory alarm.
Does anyone have any experience with adding an aftermarket with their factory alarm?
Brand? Problems? Don't believe the dealerships install any alarm upgrades.
Any input is much appreciated !

Thanks,

Just info, I cannot address what U are asking, BUT if U want to keep yer truck basically un-stealable unless they tow away, "IGLA" system the way to go, but stupid expensive, and not sure if anybody does it around yer area. ALL IMHO...

I can't comment on an aftermarket alarm interfering with your OEM alarm on a Ram truck.
I did, however, install an aftermarket alarm on my 07 Tundra with a factory alarm and just abandoned the OEM remote.

When I wanted to set an alarm without vibration detection, I used the OEM FOB/factory alarm and never had any grief.

The Tundra didn't have a factory remote start so, I installed a Viper alarm with a remote start and it came with 2 FOBs.

The IGLA is awesome if you have an open budget, too much for my wallet. I'd buy a Tazer first, one of them has the option of using steering wheel controls to disable the alarm, just like the IGLA but at a fraction of the cost.

As for a kill switch, check this thread. I have one (not yet installed), the build quality is excellent and the price can't be beat.

You can add a shock sensor to the OEM alarm system:
Megatronix UPS Add-On Shock Sensor To Factory OEM Car Alarm Security Systems https://a.co/d/ehAl6Rb

As for a kill switch have an aftermarket fuel pump or starter interrupt wired in but as mentioned if they really want your truck it will get towed away.
