Aftermarket car starter (compustar) void warranty?

I got the 7 yrs 100k mile warranty, will a aftermarket car starter void the warranty?

As a previous audio installer i was asked this all the time. The only way it can void a warranty is if the remote start caused the issue. the magnusson/moss act covers you.

For the factory warranty yes.

If you have maxcare or one of the OEM extended warranties, they techincally aren't warranties, they are service contracts. This way they have the option of bypassing the magnuson moss act.

I would hope they would treat it like a warranty, and only deny issues that were caused by an aftermarket part.
