I installed these Mopar foglights since my truck didn't come with any and these were designed to use the same OEM light cluster knob and dash indicator light as trucks that come with foglights. They fit in the lower bumper grille but the downside is that you can't keep the black honeycomb insert that goes in there. That looked ugly having a gaping hole all around the foglights. So my neighbor made cutouts :)

Looks good!

I have to ask... Why did you put them there instead of the bigger area that is designed for fog lights?

Thanks! Those two larger areas at the ends are actually where you're supposed to have winch hooks not fogs. I don't have hooks either but perhaps someday down the road...

True.. For some reason I was thinking lights go there. I even had a 2012 with factory fogs and still missed that. Not even monday either.

Well tell us how you mounted them.

IMO

They just bolt into the existing holes that are already there where you see them and wire up the same way as OEM fogs. Kit comes with the same light knob as the OEM one for trucks bought with fogs.Basically Mopar made these specifically so you could integrate fog lights into a RAM without the fog light option the same as one that did.

The accessory fog kit is made so that if you have the tow hooks you can still mount fog lights. My truck came with factory tow hooks which I had no need for. I removed them and mounted the fogs there. I removed the bumper and then the bumper brackets. I made a fore & aft slot in each bumper bracket then I had to fabricate a riser spacer block to raise the lamps up. The slot helped bringing the lamps out toward the front. Very close tolerances fitting inside the bumper bracket and still have room for adjustment. The back of the fog lamps actually stick out the back of the bumper bracket where you install the bulbs and attach the wiring connector. I still had to trim the close out panel even though mine originally had holes for tow hooks. All in all it was a real pain but worked.
