I am planning on putting an Android head unit in my 2014 Laramie. Would I be losing the Uconnect functioning from the app, such as remote start with auto heated/cooled seats?

I am planning on putting an Android head unit in my 2014 Laramie. Would I be losing the Uconnect functioning from the app, such as remote start with auto heated/cooled seats?

There are some really nice Android head units out there with some really nice features and some that come with the ability to control some or most of the user options that the factory radio has.

With that being said, I would ask the manufacturer if their head unit has the capabilities that you are looking for or need but you will lose the UConnect functions without having the factory head unit installed.

why not use the factory head unit ? there are options available to utilize that with aftermarket equipment
