Aftermarket wheels no tpms

I put on aftermarket wheels and tires last summer and decided to not put tpms in them and deal with the light. I took the truck in for recall work and had tire pressures displaying on the dash which I though was odd when I picked it up. I was almost positive that it read dashes prior to the recall fix. Anybody else that doesn't have tpms on your truck still showing tire pressures. I would have never noticed anything different except that it was on the display when I started it up.

My old tires pressures showed on the dash for about 10 or 12 miles before the light popped on and the numbers went to dashes. I would like it if they magically worked again! I have no sensors in the new wheels.

Um yea, if you dont have sensors in the wheels then there is no way the system will function.

Are the factory wheels/tires and sensors in the back of your truck still?

No the old ones haven't been near the truck for 8 months. I received them online from custom offsets and ordered them without tpms, wonder if I got them by mistake or they were reading another truck at the shop, they were reading right at 50 which is what my tires are at currently. I know at one time they popped all dashes I have driven the truck about 20 miles after the recall work and they were still displaying. Very odd

I just went out an verified again and they flashed dashes must have been reading a truck at the shop or pulling in old data. It took 5 days for it to reset.
