Well that was entertaining , that was as fun reading as the oil , or fuel filter threads on these forums .

Ironically, the new recommmended air filter for the 2019-2026, 68645327aa, has glue strips. This new filter number supersedes the 53034051ab. The new FleetGuard air filters, AF27684 are now being manufactured in Mexico and some people are having issues with them. YMMV

And as always , some people are having issues . So that is not all people ,just some people . Now the question is which people are having issues ,and which people are not having issues .

Gotta love these oil ,filter , tire whatever threads .

That may have something to do with why their filters are larger than most. At any rate they furnish a detailed spec card for each filter on their site

BTW; both the PPE and Microgard Select oil filters are made by the same company. The standard Microgard are made by Mann Hummel, the select filters are sourced from Premium Guard who also makes the PPE line.

That PPE oil filter really looks impressive.

The specs show it as 3" wide and 5" high. The Royal Purple 20-500 that a lot of folks choose for their 6.4L Hemi is 3" wide and 4.5" high.

The RP 20-820 is just a hair smaller than 4" x 4". I have used both the 20-500 and the 20-820 in my 5.7L so this ought to fit.

I like the 6 large inlet holes, it has a magnet built in, not really sure why as I would hope the media would stop most anything.
