Spray the hoses and box with WD40 or Silicone lube and they usully slide on easier

i think hes talking about the 4 clips on box that hold the top cover

i would propose a long flat head screwdriver. i remember my 06 hemi was a britch to get the top cliped back on. i always had to use a screwdriver to avoid ripping my fingers off haha
also inspect the gasket of the filter. ive seen alot of aftermarket filters with too thick of a gasket and that will cause alot of problems trying to clip the top. you can trim it with an xacto if needed.
