Hi everyone, I have a 2018 ram mega cab Laramie with a 6.7ho with the Asian. I ordered it myself brand new trans 80k on it and has never seen a winter.it was deleted and tuned when it had roughly 25k on it. a couple months ago I was doing a break stand at my house while drunk (******* lol). After that is started shifting funny .I had a friend hook it up to his computer. It was throwing no codes and no engine light but it did show that the torque converter was around 7500k rpm and the truck was in park idling at 1000k I believe. He didn't think it was normal and thought maybe a converter. He also said he doesn't know enough to speculate. So last week I took it to a place in Rochester NY(wont say the name) and they called me and it needs a tranny and its 12k. Charged me way too much in my opinion to just look at it. 1 hour 20 they said it took it when I picked it up it now had the engine light on(which again it didn't before) and was still shifting odd. Here is my issue, sometimes you have to let off gas from first to second but then next time its fine from 1 to 2 and does it from 3rd to 4th and so one with other gears but its never consistent. Doesn't shift hard because when it revs just a little I let off and its fine(with every gear)that it randomly does that in. As well as when going into reverse there is a very small delay and runs in reverse fine after that. I think without being a mechanic and a inside remodeler but I did race cars and did not feel like that it is the same way as the the previous 7 transmissions I have blown previous to this. I think it is either the torque converter or the speed sensor or maybe even the filter change as it has never been done. As well as has 80k miles, can somebody please help I do not know what to do and feel like I cannot trust anyone around Rochester anymore.

1) Posting the same copy-paste message 3 minutes apart is both annoying, and makes it harder for the people trying to help you keep track of what's going on.

2)

the previous 7 transmissions I have blown previous to this.

With a track record like that, I suspect this falls into the "stupid is expensive" category, and you very well may just have to pay your way out of your situation.

3) If you are getting a check engine light now, the trans is throwing codes. Take it back to your friend with the scanner, those codes will be far more helpful than us just guessing.

yea after i posted the first one i realized it was on a 1st gen forum but cant figure out how to delete it. also the seven trannys were on the track when i used to race.
this is the first truck I've ever had a problem with and when i drive it, it doesn't feel blown
