Akkon 5th gen style headlights ordered!

I'm running chrome quads on my ram with opt 7 leds and they provide amazing vision but id like a modern look and the only part of the 5th gen ram that I love is their headlight style.

So I ordered a version for our truck. Read mixed reviews from alpharex and I personally don't like the solid white blinker.

So I gave Akkon a shot... should be here Friday. Ill put the h11s i currently have in my quad lows in the h9 slot and order a second set of h7 leds if it all works out.


Looking forward to seeing the change from chrome to black. Getting some contrast into hemi.

That being said if they toss out any errors there going back [emoji28][emoji2369]

I looked at those as well as a bunch of others, and decided to just go with black quads to replace my chrome ones.
Hope they work out for you, they're sharp looking.

Solid white blinker? The alphas I have Are sequence yellow. Ether way these look good and I think you’ll like em. They look exactly like all the rest but the code deal be prepared they coming.

Ill show you what I mean the halos are look like a solid white.

If they throw a code they get returned... but reviews on amazon are positive!

If you have alpha obd then the code shouldn’t be a big deal. Plus it’s a great tool to have either way but I understand if the advertise no codes then that’s what you should get. Again they look good and I’m sure you’ll like em.

Thanks buddy... Total was 326 which isn't alot of money but its enough that I wouldn't want codes . Looking forward to seeing how they turn out regardless. I listed above to show you what I meant between the two.

Dang that’s a good price wish I would’ve known about them before I got these alphas. Not saying I’m not happy with alphas but a dollar saved is a dol.... you get it.

Oh I do... I can barely justify swapping my chrome quads out to these black projectors. My quads with leds put out amazing light. If these dont live up to that output or has errors Im getting my 300 back lol

Well, my Modifystreet polished black quads just arrived and are going right back.
Both reflector bulb shrouds are bent up and crooked to the bulb hole, and both low beam holes are clocked wrong. Trying to install either LED or HID H11s had the LEDs at 12 & 6 and the HID wire at either 4 or 8.
Already boxed up for return. Shame because they look awesome but are useless.

My low beam on both driver and passenger Alpharex v1 lights were clocked wrong as well. I could never get the beam pattern with HID to be any good, and while LED had a perfect beam pattern, they didn’t project enough distance to be useful for my needs.

Not unusual to need to clock led bulbs. A lot of them have additional hole to clock at 90 degrees.

I'm in a similar boat. I even moved my led bulbs from 9 and 3 to 12 ans 6. So far crap for output. I also have hids coming to see if that is the fix

Any update? Photos? I'm curious to hear how you like these since they're close to the Alphas but for less money.

These are not “Akkon” headlights. These are ANZO headlights and are complete garbage.

Anyone looking at these compared to AlphaRex.... run far far away from these lights. The projectors are cheap $5 projectors and you can even buy the exact same H7 halogen projectors that come in these, off Amazon or eBay for $20. That should tell you all you need to know about these headlights.
