Just installed these Alpharex Luxx 5th gen style headlights over the weekend. So far, they are awesome. The only thing I can't figure out, though, are the side marker pieces. There is not a spot for a bulb in this location. There appear to be SMD LED's behind this lens. I have everything connected that is supposed to be connected and they will not turn on. Did any of yall run into this issue or is there something I missed? Thanks yall.

Nice looking lights. My guess is that since the brow lighting wraps around to the sides, the side pieces might be nothing more than reflectors.

Wow hadn't seen these before, look pretty nice. I am curious now how they would look on my black forest green 16 Big Horn. I'd agree with BossHogg, I'm pretty sure those are just reflectors as I'm willing to bet they are selling these to the US and the rest of the world, different parts of the world have different requirements on those side reflectors just reflecting vs reflecting and lighting up.

Are these the headlights you have?
Looks like they're supposed to light up:

I would reach out to the manufacturer.

Interesting. In those pictures it's not lit when the color is amber:

Agreed, if you watch the headlight revolution comparison video, you can see them light up. 3 min mark.

Thank you everybody for your responses. As some of yall have stated, it looks like they are supposed to light up. In some videos and in the picture Crash68 posted, they are illuminated. However, in the picture that Dredger posted, they are not. I'm wondering if they only illuminate when the DRL's are white, and turn off when DRL's are amber. If that is the case, I don't really mind. There is a connector inside the housing that when connected, the DRL's will stay amber color all the time. Before I made these connections, I did not pay attention to whether the side marker was illuminated or not. I guess when I have the time, I'll break those connections and see if they illuminate. Thanks yall.

Are they brighter than the stock lights? I swapped out the bulbs in my 2020 1500 with Sylvania Silver Star Ultras with no improvement. I wound up mounting a bull bar and installing 9" driving lights from Australia. Where striking a kangaroo is a real problem. They are XTM and produce 22,000 lux per pair. Now this is a light! I would still swap the stock headlamps if there is something better. I can't run the XTMs in town.

Yes they are a lot brighter than the stock lights. They have a nice crisp cutoff line and I don't have anybody flashing their lights at me. I'm pretty happy with them honestly.

By the pictures on Alpharex's website, they only light up when the DRL lights are white. When they're amber, the lights don't light up.
