Windows 10 has rejected Alfa OBD

Alfa OBD has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Any insight or experience with this issue?

I found I needed to upload my installation directly to my drive on my PC , I discovered activation issues afterwards where between the two choices in the about tab,
the Paddle.com
accepted my email but wouldn’t link to Paypal and no registered name of www.Paddle.com on PayPal could be found when signing in directly through my web browser.

Finally received an Email two hours later through Paddle to link me directly to finalize registration.
Registration Email was received immediately from Paddle.com with separate Email transaction receipt from PayPal .

When using ALFA-OBD software to activate purchase with supplied License the AlfaOBD (right side) of the page did not recognize the License as being correct , only the Paddle.com (left side) of the page would accept the License Key with my Email address and Activate My Software.

I'm using it with Windows 10 without any issues.
The error message was
“it looks like you are using an older version of your browser “
I don’t use my windows 10 as often as my Macbook so perhaps windows 10 it didn’t get updated correctly ?

I abhorrer windows after using it for 20 years and I used my iPhone for almost everything after till I decided to invest in a Mac but even that had problems if neglected and recently has had massive improvements but I don’t see that with Windows 10.

Can you use Bluetooth with the MX+
and windows 10 or do you use a usb adapter to the OBD port ?

I'm using it with Windows10 on desktop and on Surface with Windows11.

I think your issue, is you trying to use it with Bluetooth. You need to use com port.
I recall, when I was first trying to use it with OBDLink MX+
I connected it via bluetooth, but didn't setup com port. So I was getting stupid error message.

You pair the OBDLink with notebook/whatever via bluetooth.
But in AlphOBD, you setup comport. Then it works. Example, my surface, it's com port 5

You can install OBDLink MX+ software, once you get it working. AlphaOBD will work.

I haven’t had a chance to use MX+ yet with AlfaOBD yet
I just installed it last night successfully

So what you’re saying there should be no problem using bluetooth and my Windows 10 laptop except in the selection of open com ports ?

Can't say about your hardware and/or how your OS is.
But it does work. I would make sure the OS is update with all patches.
Yes on the com port part.
