All Secure central lock for 2012 rambox?

Does anyone know if the "all secure" feature of the 2013 can be retro fitted to a 2012? - I have a 2012 laramie with rambox and would like to be able to have the rambox & tailgate wired in to the lock remote. Thanks.

Hey, all things are possible with time, and money lol.

I don't know if you could retrofit the OEM equipment from a 2013, but a couple questions should point in the right direction. I don't have the ram box setup so my apologies if these questions seem trivial.

1) electric locks on the rambox?
2) electric locks on the tailgate?

If you already have those you could wire them directly to the existing door lock harness in the truck. I probably wouldn't even bother with a relay since the current draw should be pretty low. Just do one component to each door, or run one relayed hot-wire back, and split it to all three.

I would probably put a diode in there though just so if you hit the lock button in the rambox (assuming it has electric locks) it doesn't try to send any current running back up to the truck's ECU.

You could do the same thing for the unlock as well.

There are no power locks available for the 2009-2012 rambox.

I am very interested in this as well. I might have to go to the dealer and find a 2013 with the power locks, and then compare to my truck to see if it is possible to bolt in. I imagine you could tie it all to the same spot that the mopar power tailgate lock ties in to.

I never knew they didn't have power locks for the rambox's...that's kind of stupid. I like being lazy but I don't even have power lock on my tailgate. But I only unlock that thing like twice a month so, yea...

jlb - the pre2013 rambox has a key lock, they have a power tailgate lock kit but it did not include the rambox, I'm hoping they add it.

I'd be interested myself but to be honest I don't use the locks often enough to warrant it. More $hit to to break if you ask me. Lol.

Not a bad idea. but I'm not sure I would go through the expense and effort for it if it wasn't a factory option.

I only leave the passenger Ram Box locked. That's where I keep my little lighter plug-in compressor in a freezer bag. They say they don't leak, but I've had a little water in there after a drive through wash. The drivers stays unlocked for little shopping runs.

The tailgate I don't use as much in the winter. It's only locked to prevent theft which has been raising up lately with Cats.
