Not sure if I'm in the right place. Sorr i put this in the sticky. Anyways. 2019 Ram new body Dt 1500. I just got the OBD MX+ and downloaded the Alpha app to my Android. I need to change the tire size. A couple issues.
I dont know which body computer to select. There are about 6 choices. I tried a few, made it to the tire change. I converted the tire size in inches to mm 34" to 864mm to start but it still says I need to select one of the tires in the drop down menu. I cant get past that.
I watched this video
https://youtu.be/HlKk3YZ7ecI and he input a tire size of 2600mm. What am I missing?
He also made changes to th ABS system as well. Is that needed?

Any help appreciated. Links to info or a walk thru

Hmm. I read that on a post but none of my pre investigative work pulled that up. My understanding is that it is all done via bluetooth. Anybody have a link to a source for this cable?
What two points is the cable connecting?
Ty

So I found a link for the cable. As far as operating AlphaOBD for the tire size adjustment, I'm gonna need some help or instructions.
If I could did some info while I wait on the cable it would be appreciated greatly.

He has a 1500, so the 12+8 style cable is easy to install since the security gateway is just above the OBD port, unlike the 2500/3500 where the gateway is behind the instrument cluster.
I have a 2018 1500, the SGM is behind the radio. With the Autel or even a bypass module you need to disasemble the center console, radio trim and control panel to access it. With a bypass cable it plugs in to the distribution blocks up and to the left of the OBDII port.

Ok….The OP has a 2019 5th gen 1500 DT ram. The gateway on his truck is not behind the radio. On his truck it is right up next to the OBD port. The 12+8 bypass in this situation is just as easy to install, and since he already has it…

I got the tire size thing figured out. Its circumference not height.
Anyone use this bypass cable?
Check this out on Amazon
spartshome Cable Adaptor Replacement for Autel DS808 Maxisys MS905 906 908 PRO Elite Autel Fit for Chrysler Programming Cable 12+8 Connector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082Y918Z3/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_90EJG05H4R9H1HE43M49?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I use this cable on my 2022 which is just like the 19’s up. The two plugs you use are easily accessible under your dash. After the first time it will take you less than a minute to put the bypass in again. You don’t have to take anything apart. FWIW, YouTube is your friend.

What if I just leave the bypass cable installed? Any issues? I would obviously remove it before warranty work.

Don’t know about the DT bodies but my 18 DS has the bypass cable installed continuously with no issues. I’ve even had my delaminated 8.4 radio replaced under warranty with it installed and the dealer said nothing about it.

What did you end up using? I have a 19' Ram and want to adjust the max speed.
