I want to change the tire size to recalibrate the speedo. I bought and downloaded the AlfaOBD software onto my Windows laptop. It opens just fine. I tried getting out as cheap as possible so I bought the standard Chrysler 12-8 Security bypass and a generic ELM 327 USB interface from Amazon. When I could not get a connection I returned the interface and bought the OBDLink Ex. It could connect via the OBD port in the truck and showed some information such as no codes and how many miles since the last code. But AlfObd would not connect. I got the error message to check connections etc. The Security bypass I felt like was never fully connected. I could get one to click in, but the other would not click. So I returned it and am trying to order a KAOD Tech bypass. I contacted them, but no response yet.
Assuming I can get a KAOD bypass, can follow their directions that are different to connect via different ports and can get the OBDLink connected to my laptop through the OBD port so hopefully it is not a hardware issue, is there a specific order to follow to get the AlfaOBD to work? I did the press the button twice to get to Run after connecting everything, but no luck. Truck is a '23 1500 DT. Anything different about this year/model I am not aware of? Thanks
