I have a 5.9 Gas that has a Factory 140 amp Fuseable Link for the Alternator in the Engine compartment Fuse Box. I just installed a 250 Amp Alternator for Snow Plowing and am currently having ALL new Cables made with a 250 AMP inline Fuse off The Alternator to the Fuseable Link. It has yet to be seen if it actually puts out 250 Amps but I would think 200 for sure. Will I blow the 140 Amp Factory Fuse Link in the Fuse Block? If so can I install a Higher Amp Fuse without hurting my current wiring?
