Amp instal help

Hello,

I am having some trouble with my amp research step instal. The violet/yellow wire for the rear passenger door is causing the steps the stay down at all times. When I check continuity on the wires all other doors work correctly except for the rear passenger wire. It has continuity with the door open and closed.

I should also mention the door ajar warnings on the truck operate correctly. So I don’t really understand why that wire is always showing continuity
