Hey guys sorry if this has been beat up already but I have a 13 power wagon with the air vents below both driver and passanger seats. I'm struggling trying to find a spot where to mount my amp. Putting it on the floor in the middle is about my last resort. If at all possible I'd like to put it behind the driver side back seat. Anyone out there ever done it? Thanks for the input I tried to search around but didn't find a whole lot.

Mine is behind my sub box under my back seat, it's not bolted down. The stupid shop that installed it I guess didn't think it had to be.

Hopefully I can get mine to fit there my amp should be here tomorrow that would be a better option for me anyhow. I may have to pony up and buy a more pricy smaller amp to make it work I'd rather not mount it to the back firewall to begin with. Do you have a set of spacers for your seats?

I have a cheap 2 channel BOSS amp pushing my 2 jbl 12's right now. And I don't have spacers, the box fits perfectly under the seat

Ok thanks for the info I'll have to see if my amp will work in the space and if it does that's where I'll sit. It won't be here until tomorrow but hopefully I can make it work not sure if it will squeeze in there or not. Thanks for the response!

No problem, if it doesn't fit, I'd just mount it on the back wall behind the rear seats. Goodluck!

Ok, next issue ha. On the uconnect 5.0 there are no rca inputs, I saw somewhere on here but can't find it now someone had to use an rca adapter I was wondering where they put it and which wire. And also curious where the remote wire taps into. Sorry I'm such a rookie at this but I don't want to spend the money for a bunch of goons to install it

You need to hook up the adapter to the speaker wires for the front door speakers since they receive most of the bass signal

Did you ever install your amp? What part of the your pickup are going to put it? I am thinking of getting one for my 1500. I installed Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9's in the back doors and just ordered the Pioneer TS-D1702R for the fronts. Let me know how the install turned out if you did it. Good luck.

Whatever you do, don't "install" it somewhere it will bounce around, or mount it directly to metal.

I used silicone to secure a piece of plywood to the back wall of the cab and then mounted the amp to the wood. So far so good.

Nope not yet should be getting it done by the weekend if I have to I'm going to make some spacers to raise the back seat up a touch and just mount my amp to the floor under the middle of the rear seats. I had to return the other amp for one with a smaller form factor that should work better

Where did you come up with going to the front out of curiosity? I've read a lot of debate about using the front vs the back since they are both 6x9s if memory serves me correctly shouldnt they essentially be the same?

No the front speakers receive the bass signal, if you were to change the fade to the rear you wouldn't get any bass through the speakers, but once you move it to the front you hear the bass

Got it done today I may still have to make some little mods to the seat brackets just file them down a bit and put some washers in to raise the seats up a tad so it doesn't sit on my amp to much. But I put my amp basically right in the middle underneath the 60 side seat. Just got to get it tuned up a bit but I'm happy with the results.
