Need some help wiring two amplifiers for my Jeep project. Currently have a kicker dx400.4 2011 edition. Have 2 channels driving 6.5” coaxial and the other two driving 6x9 rears. All at 4 ohms. I want to add a kicker cx360.4. Run bridged. So basically one amp on two 6.5” speakers front and the other amp pushing two 6x9’s. 200 watts per speaker.
Before you say this sounds excessive, I ran the 6.5” bridged on the dx prior to getting the 6x9. Really woke the speakers up especially for an open top vehicle.
So question, I’m running 4/5 gauge to the dx. Want to add a splitter and drop the gauge to 8 feeding both amps. The cx should be fine as it recommends 8 gauge and 50amp fuse. The dx recommends 4 gauge with an 80amp fuse. I’m hoping the dx is over engineering the required feed. Anybody here have experience running the kicker dx sears amps under recommended gauge power cables? Or should I just run a new 2 gauge and feed the cx with 8 gauge and dx with 4 gauge?

You will need multiple fuses with that setup. Fuse at battery on 2 gauge, fuse at splitter for 4 gauge and another fuse at splitter for 8 gauge. Fuses are spec'd for the wire size, not load.

Correct. Per the kicker manual.
