I replaced my front 3 mid-tweeters and front door speakers on my 2019 Big Horn with Alpine system.
HAT Legatia 6.5s in the doors. NVX 3.5 in the fronts. Great improvement.
Getting a low rumble /drone when accelerating. Loud. ANC system not happy with the new speakers, but I am.
I'll try taping over the mics first and disconnect the mics at the amp if needed.
Thanks to Kfield for the pics of the amp plug and ANC mic wiring.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn the ANC off in the vehicle system?

thanks
George

The tape took care of the droning.
Still might disconnect the mics, but at least I have options.
Now I just need to replace the rest of the speakers.

Amazing to me that for a premium system, they use such crappy speakers.
The fronts I installed are 25 per pair and are totally better than the factory speakers.
I know it's all about profit.

Loving this truck

Thanks Bcovish.
I've seen that post. And the great pics.
I was hoping for a quick system option for the ANC.

Ram doesn’t even know if it’s possible to turn off in system.

There “tech” team has no clue what to do with this system. I’m surprised that it did that being a 4ohm speaker. The factories at 2ohm with the 3.5” being and 8ohm. The new ones draw less power. Maybe the new ones are delivering a better frequency response and the ANC issue was always there just now more audible by the better speakers.

No problem on the write up. BTW I don’t miss the ANC on bit, I love the sound of the motor and my borla.

Kfield,
Taping the mics helped.
Still going to disconnect the mics and see how that goes.
Thanks for the info.
Seems kinda dupid for FCA to not have an option to turn the ANC off.

Crack a window and see of it helps. Any time a window is open the ANC is supposed to be off.

I did some more testing.
With tape on the speakers, the drone was not as bad, but still there, especially during cylinder deactivation.
Tried with windows open, closed, radio on or off. Still there.
Especially bad with on eco mode.
Today, I put the stock door speakers back in and took tape off the mics, leaving the aftermarket dash speakers in.
All the drone went away. Quiet as a church mouse, even in eco mode.
Now I just have muddy bass. :(
The ANC makes a big difference with the quietness of the truck. More than I would have thought.
I guess I'll leave the stock woofers in. Also leave the aftermarket tweeters in. At least I have clear mid/highs.
Food for thought for everyone. Hope this helps someone.

These are Sonic Electronics house brand. Not well known compare to other inexpensive brands. They have silk come tweeters, known for the warmth and clarity.

Metra speaker

Price is right. Sound is clear and crisp without being shrill or too bright like metal domes.
hope this helps. Their 6x9s are excellent, but couldn't get them to play nice with the ANC.
I've installed multiple systems all the way to Hybrid Audio Technologies (HAT) Legatia and these inexpensive speakers are closer to HAT than they are the kickers/RF brands.

I'm replacing the rear tweeters this weekend. Speakers should be here tomorrow.
not sure how they will mix with the fronts, but for the price, it's worth the risk.

I have a drone around 1500rpm. It’s not exhaust, must be the anc. Anyway to just unplug the motors or whatever those things are under the doors instead of unplugging at amp?

I may be wrong, but I think those are dampers to offset vibration. Kind of like cab dampers, and not for sound.

Hmm, they have a plug in them. Do dampers have a plug for something?

I replaced the rear tweeters with another pair of the NVX 3.5s .
The tweeters are taller than the opening, making the grills hard to get back on, but managed.
Sound of the rear fill is so much better.
still bummed about the muddy bass and not being able to replace the to the ANC.
loving this truck.

Good deal, I ordered and have received the exact speakers that you have for my fronts. I also based upon your information ordered the correct harness and that arrived yesterday. So I’ll install the fronts this week and see where that gets me. :)
