I can confirm they definitely bled into 2019. I am following this thread to pick up info on how to try to have FCA replace the UConnect system without it costing me an arm and a leg (I am not the handy type to be able to do it myself).
You might think that but it really isn't that difficult. If you can use a screwdriver you can perform this repair for MUCH less than a dealership visit. Conversely, you can purchase a new or used radio and install it yourself still for much less...

You're likely not going to get FCA to cover it if you're out of warranty. If you replace the entire radio with one from the dealer it's expensive and typically takes weeks or months to get. They seem to stay on backorder a lot. You don't have to be super handy to replace the screen. If you have a small screwdriver and can follow video instructions, you can do it.

If you're not convinced to change the screen yourself, consider buying the replacement screen with guidance from members here, uninstalling the radio and having a qualified/experienced car stereo shop change it.

If performing the R&R on the radio is not of interest, the stereo shop would do that too.
This would save a boatload of cash over having the dealership involved.
