Issue: Have a 2020 Ram Warlock Classic 1500. Uconnect was operating just fine, and I was loving it. About a year and a half ago, screen went blank. For the next few months, soft resets worked, and when they didn't, the hard resets did. About a year ago, screen went blank again, and no resets, of any kind, would bring it back. The Uconnect worked fine, operationally, meaning the touch screen worked in every way....I just couldn't see anything. I remembered where the buttons were and made do as best I could. A local car stereo tech wanted a couple of thousand dollars to install another unit, saying my system couldn't be repaired. I've made do with a blank screen for a year now, buttons still working, just can't see them as the screen will not display.
A couple of weeks ago, my screen suddenly began working again. It happened after I accidentally set my Ram's vehicle alarm off. It alarmed for several seconds before I could disable it. I sat down in my Ram, started it and my Uconnect came on. First time I'd seen my Uconnect on in over a year. Since then, it has been displaying some days, not displaying others, display has been on and off sporadically....again. But whether displaying or not, the touch screen is, and has always been, operational. I'd like to know if anyone has any idea(s) about why my screen will not display, and how can I get it back to displaying continuously? Is there a fuse or connection within my Uconnect unit that can be corrected to fix the problem? Any help with this is great....GREATLY....appreciated. Thank you.
