Another header question... Y-pipe..?

pacesetters have one **** on each collector. put the front o2 in one of them, and the rear o2 with the non-fouler in the other... yes it will reach.

I thought that the truck needed both the front O2's to get it to run right... I know the 03's (or at least some of them) only have 1 cat but dont you still have two front O2 sensors? The pacesetters only have 1 **** on each of the collector so both the front O2's need to go in there if your truck has 2 front O2's and then the rear would need a **** welded in since the front O2's are the important ones while the rear O2's are more for checking on the cats. Now I can only go off of my 05' which has 2 cats in there with an O2 before and after them but it might be something to crawl under the truck and check first hand.

you're absolutely right truckin. my comment/suggestion was only for the 03 with one cat. there are only 2 o2's (a front and rear). its actually the 02 exhaust that has 1 cat. some early 03's got the remaining inventory of 02 exhaust. some late model 03's have 2 cats in which case they follow the same rules as all the other years (what truckin said)

i only got one cat- right after the Y (if thats what you wanna call it)
so i would only need an anti fowler for the rear o2 sensor right?

cheapbeater, doesn't your '03 only have 1 cat? I thought I read that 03s only have 1. If that is the case, get the pacesetter Y and put a Magnaflow cat after it. If you have 2 cats, disregard.

That is what I did on mine. I also moved everything toward the rear as far as I could in preparation to run LT and Y pipe. OBTW, the OEM single cat on the 03 outflows the Magnaflow "High-Flow" cat.

Update: The Magnaflow "Hi-Flow" cat has two o2 bungs already welded in the housing.
I have the front o2 screwed into a **** I welded at the header and a wide band sensor screwed into the front Cat **** and the rear o2 screwed into the rear cat ****. No anti-foulers used and no DTC's.

do you guys think i will be ok with just ceramic coated headers? not stainless, just ceramic.. unless they are stainless and it just doesnt say...

If you are looking at the pacesetters, they are not stainless. Ceramic will last a while, but will eventually rust. If you want them to last forever, get stainless (dynatech, tti, or kooks) and get them ceramic coated.

Go ceramic and you should be fine. I have not heard of anyone having issues with rusting with the ceramic coated ones unless there was a chip in coating

I didn't think you had LT's on Ol' Red....

My bad, that did sound like I have LT's on it. What I meant was in preparation for LT's I have moved everything rearward. This started with the Magafolw Mufffler and exhaust when I did the roll pan. The muffler was moved as far back as possible with the Mag Hi-Flow cat just in front of the muffler and then a new 3" pipe running to the current OEM Y pipe. I have a new **** on the Y pipe which is the front o2 and the rear o2 is connected to the rear **** on the cat and the **** on the front of the cat is for the wide band. Cat is just above the cross member which should give me room for the LT's and Y pipe. When i did this I replaced the OEM cat with the Magnaflow Hi-Flow cat and lost a couple of tenths on the 0-60 time. When I install the LT's and Y pipe I will re-install the OEM cat. I do not have LT's on Red.
