Hey guys, just checking in from Central Florida. Been driving a 2004 Dodge 2500 5.9 Cummins for the past few years, but had an injector go bad and took out a ring. Planning to fix it, but I need a truck for work, so I bought a 2013 Ram Laramie Longhorn 4x4 a couple weeks ago.

I’ve been on a couple diesel forums for a while but I wanted to find a forum that has gas truck info as well. My 2013 Ram had 99k miles when I bought it and I’m hoping to keep it running for a long time. It’s in great shape, whoever previously owned it took really good care of it.

What mods do you guys recommend for the 5.7 hemi? I just added a Bullydog GT tuner and loaded the Regular gas tune on it. Haven’t really done anything else to it yet. Don’t want to get too wild, just looking into mods. I am planning to put a Daystar 2.5” leveling kit on the front and I ordered some links since I have the air ride suspension. I usually go a little higher with a lift, but I’ve never tried an air suspension and I wanted to give it a try.

@AncientSword welcome
Unfortunately small changes don’t make as big of a difference with gassers like the diesels so that’s a big learning curve for sure. We have a lot of really smarts guys on here that can assist you along the way. A custom tune will be a big upgrade from the canned tune. Sct’s tune isn’t terrible but hemi fever is night and day better. We have preferred vendors on here that can get pretty much anything you need and our for sale section is something to keep an eye on. S&B or Vararam for intake, oil catch can and since you’re at 99k I would do the plugs, trans service, diff fluid etc.
