EE06D745-2E09-4D27-BD06-7DEB4652CF31.png Not a Ram owner - yet, but seriously considering upgrading my ‘06 Tundra Limited. It only has 150k miles and its running great, but of course, I’m kind of getting tired of it.
So here’s what I’m looking at - CPO ‘17 Sport with the V6 engine. I’ll never ever tow anything with it, so the V6 is more than enough. I’m only getting around 15-16mpg with the tundra, so the increased fuel efficiency will be welcomed.
Haven’t driven the truck yet (it’s about 45 min from my house), but it has everything I’m looking for. The dealer is asking $30k.

Prices really change per region and market. That is a $32K truck all day long here even for a V6.

CarGurus has the car as Good Deal, roughly $2k below average. Cars.com has it as Great Deal... Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I wish Ram would finally start making the ‘19s with the V6.

If you have the big V8 and 4.30 gears in that Tundra you're going to be disappointed in the V6. I don't know if the better mileage is a good tradeoff or not. Better drive that RAM in varying condition before you buy it to make sure.

My tundra has the 4.7 V8, which is nearly indestructible, but doesn’t produce too much power. I couldn’t even tell you which gears I have - I do construction work (as a GC who likes to get his hands dirty), but at most transport some drywall, plywood, lumber, etc...

I paid $22.3k for similar specs in Oregon, back in June, though mine wasn't a Sport, but an SLT w/ 19k on the odo. Avg out here was $26-$28k, Sport models included.

The V6 does have plenty of pep at 305hp, and you get 24mpg even a a 4x4, but your max tow drops to just shy of 5k lbs.

...just realized you live near Crook County; that price tag include tax, or do they slap that on top later?

Found it on their website, and got the VIN. Looks like it has the 3.55 gears, which is an extra option for the V6. Little more pep then the 3.21, but a tiny bit worse MPG.

Keep in mind guys, this is a quad cab. I cannot speak for other parts of the country, but in the Dakotas/Minnesota area, not to far west of Chicago, the used crew cabs do command a decent premium over quad cabs.

I just paid $26500 for my 2016 CC sport. It does have a Hemi and 40k, one owner, clean car fax.

This helps considerably! So it’s a fairly basic Sport model. The $30k, even though it’s a CPO, does seem rather high for this truck.

This truck listed for $43,705, but undoubtedly sold for far less; at least 8k off sticker perhaps a bit more. Viewed this way it is a tad too much at $30K for a 2 year old vehicle. Of course the dealer is only ASKING, not demanding. Imagine it will go for around $28-29 with a bit of haggling.

Sport models only came with the 5.7 hemi. Not sure if this is a true sport or just one which has been converted to look like one.

I’m guessing the original buyer got at least $10k off (or more). The mileage puts it at about 1 year worth of driving. The CPO, while nice to have, is worth maybe a thousand $??? The B2B is only extended a little bit, while the power train warranty gets a nice bump. Yeah, I would guess ~$28k would be a decent price.
I’m still waiting for the 2019 V6s to start showing up. Seems like I should be able to pick up a new tradesman or express for right around $30k.

I just purchased a '18 truck similar to this with the V8 Hemi in it for $44,000 sticker
This seems overpriced originally in 17 for a Sport for 43,705 (and doesn't even have the Sport hood).

Damn all the Hemi sports up north are well into the 50k range. I couldn’t touch a cc sport Hemi 4x4 for under 45k back in 2016. And they did make the sports with a v6 option starting in 2016 or 17. Wound up getting loaded express for 38k
