So I bought a Stubby. I had a feeling the result would be unacceptably terrible radio reception. I was right.

Does anyone sell a retracting antenna for our trucks? Can the 8.4a operate one?

I tried the Stubby too and wasn't happy. I ended up with a 7" black antenna off Ebay that looks good and actually gets reception.

I got mine off of amazon but to be honest I don't care if it works with my radio or not cause I have 14 billion(over exageration) songs on a jump drive lol.

I have not seen this yet so I do not know. Like you I was disappointed with the stubby son bought a 13inch metal one from auto zone and have great radio reception

I cut my factory antena and saved me a few bucks. as far as reception its almost the same as stock.

I just ordered the 7" Black Billet antenna from AntennaX... I heard good reviews from a couple of people with regards to reception and had heard bad ones about the Stubby.

We will see in 2-3 days

You know you can get shorty antennas from Autozone and the like? Or you can just cut your stocker put the ball back on and paint it. Thats what I did. Quality sucks now but who cares, we have Pandora, and SXM now..
