Any Reason To Get Truck Warmed Up?

I ran mine the same way for the past year and a half. My office has now moved 20 mins away so my drive is longer, which I prefer. I usually remote start it and let it run for a few mins before I leave, because I'd rather get in a warm vehicle lol.

When it is freezing or below, I let mine warm up for around 5 minutes or longer if it is in the 20s. I watch my gauges. I watch the oil temp and pressure. When it is cold the PSIs are really high because the oil is thick. I Let it warm up because once the oil is warm and thinned out, it'll work like oil should. If it is cold and thick and not pumping through the engine right, I see the chance of more metal on metal and more wear on the motor. I do have a catch can on mine and it does catch a lot of oil, but that seems to be a personal preference thing. I say getting in, cranking it up, and driving right away when its really cold could be bad for the motor IMHO.

I always heard short trips everyday or not the best for your vehicle. Will the car/truck blow up and not last forever. Probably not, but like sated getting it up to operating and on highway every once in a while will get all that carbon out.
