Anyone know where to get dash tray?

2011 ram 1500. The little tray in the top of the dash that isn't useful for much other than holding sun glasses (even then they fly out if you take a corner fast enough). Does anyone know what the technical name for it is?. I have been searching and have tried dash tray,dash bin,dash cubby and many others but I am not seeing anything on the internet...not even ebay.

Reason I am interested is...#1 My truck is technically a "RAM" so to me it is weird that the only thing on it that says dodge is that cubby since they used up all the early ram 1500 parts stock through to 2012 before finally changing the name plate for the 13's.

#2. I recently had a 2015 1500 as a loaner and noticed that cubby was actually quite a bit deeper and and the bottom of it was on a slight angle...combined making it much more effective as a "holder" for items.

It LOOKED like it was the same dimensions in width and length as if it would directly swap into my 2011. But I wasn't able to get measurements to back it up.

If anyone would be willing to measure theirs for comparison also that would be great.

the newer bezel that the cubby is attached to actually has two screws that hold the bezel to the dash on the bottom of that cubby. so if it is deeper then not sure if swapping parts would work. i have an extra bezel and will look tonight to see if it is removable.

If the 2013+ is deeper it wont work. As stated in one of the posts 2009-12 has two screws that attach to the dash frame so it would be sticking above your dash once screwed in.

It has been awhile since I had mine off but, I don't think you could even bend the mount as you are pretty close to the radio right there.

With all the great things they did with storage space with this truck that is the one spot that is almost useless.

Agreed, about all it is good for is sun glasses and even then they fly out half the time. Atleast on the 13+ they made it a little deeper and on more of an angle and it does a good job at holding sun glasses

Look up Bayou Goat Mount, don't personally have one yet will will in the year future. Suction cup mount that fits with the factory two screws.

For what its worth as far as the DODGE name on the rear of the console goes.... I also have a 2011 and it said DODGE...but mine had NO rear A/C so I bought a rear console and all the ductwork to put in rear A/C...the console said it was for a 2012...and it said RAM not DODGE.....heres a picture of the 2 ........the black center that says either dodge or ram is replaceable on its own...the rear lid with the A/C was black when I got it and I took it apart to paint it so I know you can swap it for one that says RAM if you don't like DODGE.

Nice. Mine does not have the rear A/C vents but I would like them. I may look into this mod in the future. The part I am mostly interested in would be the center dash cubby that says dodge. I would like to replace with one that says ram and is deeper.
