But the point is that heat is terrible for your trucks too. Delamination of materials in the interior, faded paint and other plastics etc.
I've seen pics of jelly bean dispensers where it's just one giant blob of mixed colors all run together, plastic slides on a playground that's all deformed and dripping off in pieces. Hard to say if that's better or worse for your truck than salt in the winter.
For me personally, I still like the different seasons. We get snow and cold and bright/crisp Februaries, lush green and vibrant springs, moderately hot summers where you can swim in the great lakes or the thousands of Ontario rivers and not freeze your family jewels, bright yellow, orange and red autumns... variety is the spice of life!
Besides, that cold winter air is good for ya, kills off lots of nasty stuff outside and makes you appreciate the other 3 seasons when you can walk outside carefree once again.
